What a beautiful garden… and a valiant effort by all. Can’t wait to read the journals of how much food does it take to feed a family for a year. Glad you are forging the way!! At least I know who to go to for advise! I’m very proud of you all!

I just made THE BEST pies out of the Sugar Pie Pumpkins you gave me! One pumpkin made 2 pies.I used the Carmel-Pecan Pumpkin Pie recipe out of the Better homes & garden cookbook. The dark color and rich flavor of the fresh pumpkin made a beautiful pie. Mike said those pies were an endangered species!
